Armando Ruiz of Pittsford, vice president of engineering and information technology at the Western New York Division of Time Warner Cable, has been named by the Hispanic IT Executive Council as one of the top 100 most influential Hispanics in Technology.
Ruiz is part of HITEC's first-ever top 100 list, which highlights successful and visionary Hispanic information technology leaders.
"We recognize that Armando not only is an extremely talented IT professional who assists Time Warner Cable in providing customers with the most innovative products and services but also is a great role model for the Hispanic community," said Terence Rafferty, Time Warner's WNY Division president, in a statement.
Ruiz has served in his position in Rochester since 2007 and sits on several Rochester-area boards, including the Society of Hispanic Engineers, National Society for Hispanic MBAs, and the Ibero American Action League.
