As I reflect on the accomplishments of the agency and what this year has represented for us at Ibero, I can describe it as challenging and innovative. It’s no surprise to anyone who has been following the news that agencies like Ibero were heavily impacted by the state reductions. Having to go through such experience has made us strong and has given us the opportunity to reevaluate and rethink how we do business.
Business as we knew it has for ever changed and to be successful we have to change with the times. We are happy to say that we ended our fiscal year with a surplus. This is due to the dedication and hard work of our employees. We also recognize that our success is also due to our founders, businesses, individuals and foundations that believe in us and support us everyday. With their assistance we were able to increase the number scholarships given this year, impact our children with our early childhood services, the youth with after school and mentoring programs and assist seniors with our nutrition programs, just to mention a few.
Our focus continues to be on people in need. We believe that individuals deserve to grow and develop themselves. As we put this behind us we look forward to a new year.
